Pudina Lime Fresh

Namaskara!

A very refreshing juice to cool of the summer heat ! Had tasted this in “Anna Kuteera” near my house for the first time…..

Mint (Pudina) Facts:

The aromatic wonder herb “Mint” originates from the Greek word ‘mentha’. Mentos-  Dimaak ki batti jalade 🙂

Ingredients: Makes 2 glasses

  1. Mint Leaves – Pudina – From 2-3 sprigs
  2. Sugar – 1Tbsp
  3. Salt –  1/2  Tsp
  4. Lemon Juice – from 1/2 a lemon
  5. Ice – Crushed- As required

Method:

  1. Grind the pudina leaves into a fine paste with water.
  2. Strain the pudina juice into a bowl.
  3. Add the sugar, salt, lemon juice, crushed ice into the bowl.Mix well.

Note:

  1. Do not squeeze the pudina leaves too much; the juice turns bitter.
  2. Add some water if the juice is thick after step 3 .
  3. Blend the juice again if sugar does not dissolve quickly.

To serve:

  1. Serve in long stemmed glasses  with a lemon slice on the rim of the glass.
  2. Add more ice if required.
